Hernan Barangan’s Road Rebellion officially kicked off this past Sunday, April 13th at the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, where Teen Cancer America founder, Roger Daltrey met IndyCar drivers, Scott Dixon, Ryan Hunter Reay and Justin Wilson in a press conference to talk about teens and cancer. Together they raised the profile of teens and young adults who are diagnosed with cancer in the USA and their concerns that they get “lost” in the system between young children and older adults when being treated. Roger Daltrey stated quite clearly “….this is why we need Teen Cancer America and that’s why we are here to make a change!”
They were also there to tell the U.S. press about Hernan’s mission, supported by Teen Cancer America, to go out to 50 states to find 50 teens to film 50 stories of teens with cancer so that the united voice of young people across the U.S. can be heard.
Hernan leaves on Friday, April 18th for Phoenix, AZ to start the first stage of his travels.
Hernan will also be visiting the following places:
- Las Vegas – April 21st – 27th
- San Francisco – April 28th – May 3rd
- Los Angeles – May 5th – onwards
