New teen & young adult cancer unit opens in Fort Worth, Texas

Teen Cancer America is in Fort Worth, Texas celebrating with their partners The Fort Worth Adolescent and Young Adult Oncology Coalition (FWAYAOC) the opening of a new adolescent and young adult (AYA) inpatient cancer unit and infusion center located at Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center!

This is the first community-supported AYA oncology inpatient unit and will offer young adults diagnosed with cancer, ages 18 to 29, comprehensive, life-enhancing support, age-relevant resources and specialized care designed to improve their lives before, during and after cancer. Our Co Founder, Roger Daltrey is delighted that Teen Cancer America is able to work with yet another hospital to create specific spaces for young people going through cancer in the US.

He sent this message:

“What the Fort Worth Adolescent and Young Adult Coalition has achieved is a model of good practice for the region’s young people with cancer, one that will be the envy of community hospitals throughout the USA.I commend the Fort Worth community’s spirit of collaboration, for delivering a world class facility and most of all, for putting young patients and their families first.”
